Can I speak to someone before I decide to book?
If you would like help with choosing your accommodation in one of our Ionian luxury villas and/or require having additional services/ authentic experiences during your stay, just send us an enquiry here or call us here (also Whatsapp and Viber), and we will be happy to assist you and craft your itinerary according to your tastes and desires.
How do I make a reservation and confirm my booking?
Once you decide on your stay, let us know if you would like to proceed with a reservation, and we will send you the booking and payment details according to our discussions. You just agree on these and ensure you follow up by sending us the Bank confirmation of wiring the advance payment. You will have an option of 48 hours to complete the process and get the booking confirmed. Please note that the accommodation may be booked by another party at any time, instantly online, so please ensure that when you decide on booking, you let us know as soon as possible to avoid disappointment. On our website, there is also the possibility to make a reservation online, just press the Book Now button and proceed with the booking of your preferred villa instantly, using your credit card.
What currency is the booking made in?
All rates are shown in euros and bookings are made in euros.
What are the payment terms?
You pay a 30% deposit to confirm the booking, whereas the remaining balance is paid 30 days before arrival. The remaining 70% is paid 30 days before arrival, at the latest. You will get notified by us 2 days before. If the booking is made within the 30-day pre-arrival window, then the total amount of the rental cost will be paid at the time of booking.
Are there specific arrival/departure days?
From the end of June till the beginning of September, bookings are usually made either Saturdays or Sundays in most of our Ionian luxury villas, but there is also the possibility of other days changeover if existing bookings allow. For best results, you are advised to enquire with us about your preferred dates.
What is included in the rental cost? Will I encounter additional costs after booking?
The rental cost includes all bills, taxes, and cleaning, and you should not expect to pay any additional fees unless you have asked us to arrange additional or extra services, which carry an additional charge to complement your stay. This additional charge will be agreed upon with you beforehand.
Do you charge the guest a booking fee?
No, we do not charge the guest a booking fee.
What is a security deposit, and how much is it?
A security deposit is asked by the owners to compensate against any damages made in their villas through your stay and may differ per each villa. The security deposit is paid together with the payment of the rental cost’s remaining balance and gets returned within 14 nights from your departure if there is no claim from the owner.
What if I need to cancel a booking?
Unexpected things happen, so you may be forced to cancel your booking. Please let us know immediately by notifying us in writing at info@ioniananthology.com. The cancellation policy is as follows:
- If we receive notice of cancellation at least 60 days before arrival, there is no charge and the full advance (or full payment) minus Bank costs will be refunded.
- If we receive notice of cancellation between 31 – 59 days before arrival, the advance payment will be retained by our company and will not be refunded.
- If we receive notice of cancellation within and up to 30 days before arrival, or in case of a no-show or departing earlier, our company shall retain any amount paid and will not be refunded.
Do I need to hire a car?
This is the most common practice for our guests. It is easy to pick-up/drop-off at the airport. We can help with local operator recommendations. Having a car also makes it easier to explore the island, as public transport will not get you everywhere.
However, there are some of our Ionian luxury villas where you do not necessarily need to hire a car. We can arrange a taxi/van transfer for you from/to the airport, and you could use local taxis for short distances when needed. Please check the villa’s characteristics for this possibility.
What is the nearest airport?
The nearest airport is called Preveza or Aktion (PVK). It is about a 20-minute drive from the island of Lefkada, and then extra driving depends on where the villa is located.
What time is the check-in and check-out? Are they flexible?
Check-in is from 15:00pm, whereas check-out is by 10am. The time in between is needed to fully clean and sanitize the property for the next guest, which could well be yourself. These times are not flexible when there is a same-day changeover. Otherwise, we will be as flexible as possible, please enquire.
Getting to the villa
We will send you full GPS instructions on how to get to the villa in your own car, and we will be standby on Whatsapp or call for any help you may need while on your way to the villa. If we have arranged for a private transfer for you, your driver will be fully informed of where to take you.
Will someone meet us at the villa?
Yes, you will be shown in the villa by a member of our team, unless otherwise advised. Some of our Ionian luxury villas offer self-checkin. Before your arrival, you will have received an electronic book with all information needed about the property, its house rules, local tips, and recommendations.
When is peak season?
Peak season is usually July and August. In terms of heat, July and August’ highs are, on average 30 degrees (although you cannot exclude even higher temperatures), with lows at 20 degrees levels. If you love authentic Ionian experiences but do not wish to deal with crowds and packed restaurants/beaches, you should avoid July/August, when most Greeks take their holidays. May, June and September, October, are recommended, although you risk some weather volatility for short periods.
What happens if my flight gets delayed?
No problem. You just send us a notification, and we will monitor your flight arrival online
House Rules
Are children welcome at the villas?
Most properties are family villas, providing amenities for kids. This does not mean that there are no risks around, so you should ensure you keep children under your supervision, especially around the pool. Please ensure you check for your preferred villa’s policies on specific rules.
Are pets allowed at the villas?
Most properties do accept pets, usually under prior arrangement, so please ensure you notify us if you wish to bring your pet with you together with more details.
Will the pools be safe for children?
Pools are usually not fenced, so children should always be under parental supervision.
Will the swimming pool be open all year round?
Pools are kept clean and operational throughout the year at the villas that do operate during this time. Keep in mind, though, that water temperature will not allow swimming when well into winter.
Are the properties smoking or non-smoking?
Our properties are non-smoking inside. However, you can use the outdoor areas to smoke.

Can you help book transfers, activities, and trips for us?
With pleasure. You may check out the kinds of services we can arrange for you here, as well as the authentic Ionian experiences here. However, if what you had in mind is not included in this list, do let us know of your desire, and we will do our best to accommodate.
Can you organize flights for us?
We are afraid we cannot. We only arrange your accommodation and services offered locally.
Can you organize stocking the property with groceries for our arrival?
With pleasure. Just send us a list of the items you prefer, and we will arrange this for you. Keep in mind that most of the properties do offer generous welcome baskets that cover your initial needs.
Can we get married on the property?
Not all our properties are ideal for weddings. Please enquire for more information on which properties are ideal and offered as venues for weddings and receptions.
Can you help organize a special occasion event on the property?
We will be delighted to help. Just let us know the occasion and how you have dreamt it, and we will make our own recommendations too. Not all of our Ionian luxury villas, however, allow parties if they include a larger amount of people than the ones you booked for, or there may be an extra cost, so please enquire with us.
