At Ionian Anthology, we are committed to providing our guests with top-notch experiential holiday stays via a professional and personalized service. Our Team

Vacation property management has won me over a long career in banking which I pursued just after I completed my master’s degree in business finance at Brunel University in London. During my Banking career, I was privileged to win international awards for being a leading professional in Greece in my line of work, as a director of Investor Relations. I have lived and worked in the UK for 13 years and traveled around the globe either in financial centers on business or at remote places for pleasure with my US-educated husband, gathering unique intercultural experiences. A villa owner myself, I have been involved in vacation villa management for over 14 years whereas I have been highly involved in culture & heritage for the last 35 years. Today, I am a Member of Directors of a leading national heritage society and of a society in the Ionian Islands region, but also a keen supporter of smaller local bodies. Through Ionian Anthology, I am committed to build on mutual trust with our guests and owners, delivering curated escapes and memorable experiences to our guests, as well as developing efficient and long-term relationships with our owners.

I am a Sustainable Tourism Consultant specializing in Ecotourism, Destination, and tourism business sustainability Certification, with over 25 years relevant project management experience. Co-founder of Ecoclub, the international ecotourism network since 1999, and Vice President of Hellenic Ecotourism Company since 2020. Sustainable Tourism consultant of “Archelon, The Sea Turtle Protection Society of Greece” and an active member of many professional networks such as the European Ecotourism Network. Among others, currently I am actively involved as a consultant in COSME Rural Tourism Cluster and SUSTOUR Travelife for Tour operators Projects, and a mentor to businesses within the framework of the recovery program of Enpact – TUI Care Foundation. I am a graduate in Business Administration (University of Piraeus) with an MSc in Finance (University of London), while I hold various professional certifications. I have known Elena for nearly 30 years and I contribute to Ionian Anthology as an advisor on sustainability issues in an effort to encourage sustainable tourism in the Ionian islands.

I possess over two decades of invaluable experience in the hospitality sector through several family businesses in the tourism industry over the years, while today I am a villas’ owner myself. I lived in London for a few years in the past, then in Athens, and now I live in Lefkada with my family. I am one of the two sisters of Elena, our managing director, and I contribute to Ionian Anthology as an operations and accounts manager for our vacation villas. I am an outgoing person; I enjoy being in hospitality and I am delighted to contribute to delivering outstanding holidays.

I was raised in hospitality through my family’s business whereas I have spent my summers working in either the hotel or gastronomy industries. I was born in Lefkada where I lived until recently. I am currently a student at the University of Komotini, Northern Greece, while during my summers I return to my homeland, Lefkada, to support the Ionian Anthology business.

I am excited to assist travelers in finding their perfect escape and I am delighted to feel and share the local hospitality. French by origin, I have lived in Lefkada for 6 years as I was inspired by the destination and now, I feel at home. My exposure in the tourism sector in previous years has been focused on writing content and travel guides, oriented towards sustainable tourism. I have a bachelor’s degree in communication and a master’s degree in international cooperation and languages. I speak French, English, Spanish, Italian and Greek. I have explored several countries in the world either for work purposes or to follow my passion for travel and cultural discoveries. I am thrilled to being able to contribute to making Ionian Anthology’s guests stay an exceptional one.

Our brand identity

“The idea behind Ionian Anthology dates to ancient Greece when Zeus irrevocably fell in love with Io, the daughter of Inachus and the Oceanid Melia, and the first priestess of Hera, and turned her into a heifer to save her from Hera’s wrath. Hera pressured Zeus to hand her the heifer, and Hera sent a gadfly to torment Io. Resultantly, Io wandered all around and across the Ionian Sea (named after Io) before escaping to Egypt, where Zeus restored her to her human form. Io’s body as the heifer had three colors: white, pomegranate red, and black, while her skin could also switch between these colors.

Ionian Anthology’s logo reflects pomegranate red, representing Io in heifer form, and light beige, representing the color of sand found by the shore of the Ionian Sea. The pomegranate’s color also represents the Paeonia flower that blooms in mountainous Lefkada.

Like the logo, the name “Ionian Anthology” is also derived from the Legend of Io and represents Io in her true essence. The word “Ionian” identifies our wider area of destination specialization, and “Anthology,” a term of Greek origin but internationally known, means a collection of blossoms. It has been used to indicate a collection of the finest works of art or music. “Anthology” accurately reflects our service: A curated collection of upscale villas alongside the most authentic local cultural experiences.”

I cannot say enough good things about our stay at Apanemia. The house was beautiful (the pool and outside space was a particular stand out) and the experience was made even more spectacular thanks to Argy, Makis, Elena and Akrivi. The Villa is outstanding! I think one of the best houses in Lefkada. The location is perfect, overlooking Lefkada and the sea. Just 10 minutes’ drive to Lefkas. The host is a “super host”! Available 24/7 and arranges everything: kitchen chef, dinner reservations, rent a car, taxis etc. Every morning the maid came with fresh bread! We had such a great stay and hope to come again.

A heavenly retreat! Amazing! Lost for words on how to describe our week in Apanemia but having travelled extensively, saying this one wins hands down says enough. From the moment we entered through the sliding gate, we felt welcome. The host was there, gave us a tour of the property, the philosophy on how they built the villa to blend in with the hillside, olive orchard and the reuse of the stone walls which literally runs through the house. A filled fridge, fresh bread and pie, a well-equipped large kitchen and Akrivi with her amazing positive smile who came every day for in- and outside cleaning. The host shared her passion and enthusiasm for the island and food with loads of tips and help during out stay in making reservations; even getting us into places that were “full”.

Amazing place. Amazing villa. I have stayed in many villas and I can say with confidence that this is the best villa I have been to. Ideal location. perfect view. perfect design. Silence, tranquility, the sound of the sea and the purest air. while the city with its entertainment is a 5-minute drive away. I left with sadness. special thanks to Rania. the most caring and at the same time unobtrusive owner. I’ll be back!

Magnifique villa très calme avec une vue imprenable sur la mer. Proche de lefkada. Rania nous a accueilli dans sa nouvelle maison avec beaucoup de gentillesse et de bienveillance (un beau panier garni à l’arrivée nous attendait et d’autres gentilles intentions) La maison est très bien aménagée et décorée avec beaucoup de raffinement. Rania was amazing host she provided us with everything and her recommendations we asked for turned out to be great too. House was amazing just the perfect size for 2couples. We had a great time.

The place was fantastic! Brand new, very clean, spacious, and stylish place with everything you needed, literally fully equipped. In a very nice location, close to Lefkada city, perfect sea view and quite close to a couple of beaches with some places to eat as well. Rania is a great host, very polite, accommodating, and helpful, checking in on us regularly to make sure we had everything we needed. Would definitely stay there again! Strongly recommended!

Οι πρώτες εντυπώσεις λένε πως είναι καθοριστικές. Με μία πρόταση…η διαμονή μας ήταν υπέροχη. Η villa απλά εξαιρετική, με υπέροχη θέα να αντικρίζει όλη τη Λευκάδα. Η ηρεμία που σου προσέδιδε η θέα κάθε φορά που την αντίκριζες δικαίωσε απόλυτα την επιλογή μας. Οι χώροι της villas μεγάλοι, με άριστες παροχές, μία villa ολόλευκη υψηλής αισθητικής, με υπέροχη διακόσμηση που θα επέλεγες να είναι και το σπίτι των ονείρων σου. Όλοι οι χώροι ήταν πεντακάθαροι και το κάθε υπνοδωμάτιο είχε δικό του μπάνιο, με μεγάλες ντουλάπες για την αποθήκευση των ρούχων σου ενώ καθώς ερχόταν το σούρουπο ο φωτισμός της villas μετουσίωνε την όλη εικόνα σε μία μοναδική ατμόσφαιρα. Πίσω από όλα αυτά η Ράνια, ένας άνθρωπος εξυπηρετικός, κατατοπιστικός, και ακούραστος σε ότι χρειαστείς, μία οικοδέσποινα συνώνυμο της γνήσιας Ιόνιας φιλοξενίας. Στη συνέχεια ανακαλύπτεις πόσο ζεστός άνθρωπος είναι με πραγματικό ενδιαφέρον για το πως περνάς τις διακοπές σου και αν καλύπτονται οι ανάγκες σου. Όσο για την φιλοξενία; Με το καλωσόρισμα αντικρίσαμε ένα σπίτι όπου είχε ένα κάρο καλούδια για τις ημέρες της διαμονής μας ως κέρασμα από εκείνη. Η διαμονή μας δεν επιδέχεται βαθμολογίας αφού φύγαμε νιώθοντας πλήρως ικανοποιημένοι και γεμάτοι. Εάν ωστόσο πρέπει οπωσδήποτε να βάλουμε μία βαθμολογία τότε ένα 11/10 περιγράφει επακριβώς την πραγματικότητα.

We enjoyed the most wonderful relaxing week at Arenaria Villa. We were welcomed from the moment we arrived, as our friendly and knowledgeable host showed us around the beautiful property and let us know about things going on locally. Everything we needed was within a few minutes’ walk and, as a result, we didn’t stray far. No need with that pristine pool! We swam, swam and swam some more – between lazing about and reading in the many gorgeous spots around the villa. It was ideal for our family of 4. The accommodation was perfectly spacious, and it was easy getting food in and popping into town. It was just what we needed. The only problem was that we weren’t there for long enough! We’ll look at booking for at least 2weeks next year 🙂

We had a wonderful time at Villa Arenaria, it was such a beautiful property and the host was incredible – she was so kind and helped us to really get the most out of our visit. The whole property was stunning, but I have to mention the pool and garden which were spectacular. We had such a memorable, relaxing holiday and would visit again in a heartbeat.

We visited Arenaria villa Sept 2022 after a two-year delay due to Covid. I can say it was well worth the wait and exceeded all our expectations. the villa is spacious well maintained and very comfortable. The gardens are well maintained with majestic mature pine and olive trees. What was particularly nice was all those little necessities that you need were all laid on such as cleaning products, bin bags, condiments, and a welcome hamper to start you off. Argyri was there to welcome us and a quick intro into the villa and was just at the end of a phone should we have needed her. Local amenities such as mini market, beach restaurants, walks and stunning sunsets. We found Bikes helped to get around and into Lekada itself. an interesting City with a museum, castle, and plenty of shops and restaurants. Overall we found Arenaria a very private peaceful and relaxing holiday.

Villa Erini is everything you’d want from a villa. Close to a gorgeous beach, a 3 minute drive to a beautiful Greek hillside village and the pool and view are amazing.

Beautiful, comfortable, clean, fully equipped house for six adults, few steps from the sea, surrounded by beautiful untouched nature. For everyone who want’s relaxing, quite holiday, far away from crowd and busy life. Very professional and friendly host, always on disposal.

We had a lovely time at the Villa! The pool is lovely and the views from the balcony are breathtaking. The villa was clean and had everything we needed to cook meals and relax in the evenings. We were 3 families with young children and the children loved exploring the garden and splashing in the pool. We walked up to the local village for a delicious dinner in a quiet little restaurant. We could get to beaches and a nice hike to a waterfall easily. It was the perfect base for our trip! Katerina was a wonderful host and kept in touch with us throughout our stay. We’d go back in a heartbeat!

Fantastic Villa with all you need for a comfortable, relaxing holiday. Spacious throughout and fully fitted with all necessary appliances etc. Great outdoor area with large safe pool. Plenty of Sunbeds and seating areas for al fresco dining with separate Bar-B-Q area. Spotlessly clean and serviced mid week with Pool attended twice a week at least. Need a car if planning to get about the island as bit isolated on the hillside, however lovely quaint small village of Katouna has enough if you just want to relax and unwind. Great hosts, very helpful and sorted out all our family requirements. Thoroughly recommended.

The Villa was absolutely fantastic. Spotlessly clean with fresh towels and linen. Which were changed every 3 days which was a real bonus. Pool was really refreshing with plenty of room for sunbathing and outdoor living including bbqs. The Villa was spacious inside with air conditioning throughout. The owners have hand built the Villa and they have done it superbly with bags of taste and style. We would recommend this property to anyone. Great restaurants in the local village and would recommend a car to get about. We would definitely love to stay again.

We spent wonderful vacation in villa Daphne. The villa is very good furnished and equipped. The garden is beautiful. Would definitely recommend for families with children. Katherina is an excellent host, always there when we needed something.

Our stay was absolutely fulfilling! The villa has all the amenities you can think of. Big bedrooms, very comfortable living room and a big veranda with fabulous view. Everything was very clean and well taken care of. The pool and the garden area are absolutely beautiful. The place is so relaxing that we didn’t feel like moving from the house. Very friendly and warm hosts and always ready to help and explain. When we arrived a big basket with fruits, wine, bread, homemade marmalade was waiting for us. We definitely recommend this location!!!

A fantastic stay at a beautiful villa. The hosts were fantastic and went out of their way to make our holiday as enjoyable as possible. The villa itself is beautiful, and as previously mentioned at the top of a steep hill. It’s well worth the climb though as the view is spectacular. The Villa had everything we needed for our stay and a generous welcome basket was a lovely touch and meant we didn’t have to venture out on our first night after travelling. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Villa Pasithea and would like to thank everyone involved for their help in transport arrangements, late check out and recommendations of things to do locally. We wouldn’t hesitate to come back.

We are a family of 4 and stayed for a week – the villa is excellent and I would really recommend it. The villa is at the top of a hill with just 2 other villas nearby but you cannot really see them, it was very quiet (except when our children were in the pool!) and the view is magnificent. The villa itself is well equipped and spacious. The cleaner came mid-week and cleaned / changed sheets, the pool was cleaned and the gardener came! The host met us on arrival, talked us through the villa and gave us some advice on where to visit / eat on the island as well as leaving us a welcome basket plus some basics in the fridge. Communication was excellent, the host messaged during our stay to check everything was ok and very quickly answered one question I had. We were made to feel very welcome. As other reviewers have mentioned the hill is steep – we had a hire car so it was no issue for us, we didn’t walk it. But that is what allows for the seclusion and lovely view!

We loved this property, the view was beautiful, the kitchen equipment was well thought out. The bedrooms were beautiful and the beds comfortable. The convenience of 2 bathrooms is always welcome, especially with a child. There was a lovely fireplace too which we used in the evenings. My wife and daughter enjoyed the pool even in November, I couldn’t do it! The hosts bought us some cakes for my wife’s birthday and some foods and drinks too. Zero complaints. One of the nicest places we have stayed in.

A beautiful location with incredible sunsets. This property was everything that we asked for. The property and grounds were far bigger than they appeared in the photos and there was an abundance of outdoor space that is well looked after with some beautiful flowers. We had the nicest of welcomes from the host who always went out of her way to help us and respond to any queries we had.

This villa is a jewel in the Ionian Sea. Perfect hosts and a breathtaking environment.

Stunning views from any room and you can enjoy sunsets much better than Santorini having your dinner by the pool. Spacious and nice rooms, well equipped kitchen, fast wifi and a super nice patio. The villa is located 15 mins driving to the beaches of Egremni, Porto Katsiki and Gialos and even mid August the area is relaxed with no traffic or queues in restaurants. Athani is in walking distance and I enjoyed night walks in the area, the only light was coming from the stars/moon. The host is a local guy very helpful and discrete. Thank you.

The villa is absolutely perfect with a stunning view. Set in a lovely quiet location but walking distance to a number of restaurants and to Egremni Beach, worth the walk and steps down!! The hosts were amazing, villa very well appointed with extras. We are a family of 4 with two boys 13 & 15 – highly recommended.

Terrific villa with an absolutely fantastic view in a quiet location, not too far from the main town in the south of Vasiliki. Andreas, Nikos and Meila (sorry if spelling incorrect) were super friendly and attentive to anything we required. Would recomnend for families or couples looking for a nice, relaxing break.

We’ve been to this villa twice now and love it. The hosts are great, and location is absolutely fabulous. Gorgeous pool and patio to watch the sunset from every night. Highly recommend!

The host was extremely nice and accommodating. His property was so clean and beautiful. The view from his house was breathtaking and we could enjoy the beautiful sunset from there every day. Definitely love to go back in a few years again. Thank you for everything,
